I have noticed a few references to movies in GW and wonder if anyone else has caught on to these or any others? Two references to the movie Galaxy Quest are fairly obvious in NF. Firstly Acolyte Jin uses the slogan "never give up, never surrender" from the fictional TV series. also there is a boss called Grabthar - and yes, he does use a hammer. A LOTR reference is aparent in a cut scene in the Gyala hatchery mission where the kurzick line raise and fire their bows in a wave - reminiscent of the opening battle where Sauron is defeated at the start of the Peter Jackson trilogy. They also pay tribute to a childrens cartoon which has recently been re-made. Can anyone tell me to what I am refering? First to answer correctly will get 1K. Clue - Henge of Denravi :-) |
